About Lavi Chandra

After more than a decade in investment banking at RBS, Barclays, and KPMG across the US, UK, India & Middle East, Lavi switched to the entrepreneurial life before having kids. She is responsible for the overall business strategy and business development as well as finance and legal functions at Leela’s lunches.

She also heads up the social media and marketing efforts and is the in-house star food photographer. All food photos are taken by Lavi. She is extremely passionate about children and their education.

Leela’s Lunches is in the business of shaping the palates of the future generation, towards real and whole foods. They do this smartly, and gradually, by adding vegetables to sauces, eliminating additives, preservatives, sugar, and refined products, introducing higher proportions of wholegrains and slowly crowding out junk. They also accomplish this using fun educational activities where children learn what real food is, where it comes from, how to read labels, and the importance of freshly cooked meals to build their growing minds and bodies.

Leela's Lunches was completely shaken up by the pandemic and saw a complete stop when nurseries and schools switches to home schooling. Lavi will share her story of how they started the business, what happened during the pandemic and how their business pivoted kept them alive and stronger than ever before. Leela's Lunches is currently a team of 60 people supplying 30 nurseries and seven schools across the UAE.
