About the Event
About Christine Assouad
Christine is a serial entrepreneur, who has spent her 25 years career in the food and beverage industry launching several businesses such as Dunkin in Lebanon, Semsom, and more. She presently sits on the board of companies in the Middle East as a strategy advisor. She’s also been mentoring female entrepreneurs, with more than 120 mentees over the last 10 years.
As a serial entrepreneur, she has launched multiple businesses for the past 25 years mostly in the Food & Beverage space; Dunkin’ in Lebanon (since 1998), Semsom (since 2008), Green Falafel, Home in a Bite, and others. As a Strategy Advisor & Board Member she focuses on strategy, business development, franchising, and growth, in multiple markets with Dunkin’ franchisees, F&B groups, cloud kitchens, grocery apps and more.
She is a passionate mentor with 100+ mentees. She mentors 1:1, mostly for female leaders in the MENA & Europe. In groups, she hosts Empower!, a full year online program for women in business as well as leads bootcamps and strategy workshops with StartAD, NYU Abu Dhabi, Aldar, DOOS, Vox & multiple Dunkin' markets.
Christine Assouad graduated with a BSc. Degree in Nutrition & Dietetics from AUB (Beirut), an MSc. in Food Science from McGill University (Montreal), a Master in Marketing from ESA (Beirut), YPO Harvard Presidents Program (Boston; 8 out of 9 years program), and executive programs at LBS (London Business School) and Stanford School of Business.
She is an active member of YPO (Young President Organization), where she served in several positions on the Lebanese and presently the MENA Regional board. She is also part of business organizations including LFA, RDCL, and LLWB.
She was awarded the Middle East business woman of the year in 2011, became a fellow at the Culinary Institute of America in 2015, and was listed in the 100 most powerful Arab Women by Arabian Business (Dubai) and Forbes Middle East for 7 years in a row.
