About Romanna Dada and Karen Heng

Romanna Dada is a multiple Forbes featured entrepreneur, venture capital expert, and UK-trained barrister with 1,000+ pieces of published press on founded companies. Entrepreneurial and results-driven with 15+ years of experience spanning global markets. Supporting primarily tech-led start-ups from seed to scale-up growth funding and advisory. She built an extensive personal portfolio by the age of 21 leading to privately managing portfolios of real estate and hospitality investments for family-owned conglomerates, UHNW and founding and exiting her own start-ups. Karen Heng is the CEO of FLYFWD, a startup growth boutique agency with based in Dubai and Singapore. She's passionate about the entrepreneurship ecosystem and shares her experience primarily in starting up businesses, branding, public relations, and building a great pitch deck. At FLYFWD, they leverage upon an international network of contacts for business growth, investor relations, fundraising, public relations, and investor-startup networking events.

About the workshop

Today, only 15% of angel investors are female and less than 2% of venture money goes to women. Hosted by Crunchmoms and delivered by Romanna Dada and Karen Heng from FlyFwd Ventures, they will teach the fundamentals of investing in startups. The 2022 Female Angels Movement is led by a group of entrepreneurs and investors who believe it's time to shift the female investment paradigm. The goal is to achieve gender equality in the investment ecosystem in the Middle East and North Africa.
