About Dr. Alison Burrows
Alison was born and raised in New York City and moved to Dubai in 2009. She is Campus Programme Coordinator of the Department of Education and Early Childhood Studies at Middlesex University Dubai. Alison received her doctorate in education technology from Johns Hopkins University where she was also a research fellow and merit scholar. Her research focuses on creating meaningful learning with technology experiences and the evaluation of digital tools. In addition to her work at Middlesex University, Alison consults with schools to raise student achievement and preparedness for college and career by upskilling teachers. She also works with corporations on various projects related to the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDG), 2030. Recently, she partnered with Dubai Cares to provide a series of workshops addressing the SDG’s at Dubai Expo 2020.
