Session Three: Family Money Systems
Discussion: “What family rules or traditions shaped your view of money growing up?”
As a group, brainstorm values you’d like money decisions to reflect (security, generosity, fun, education, etc.).
Each family designs their own “Family Money Manifesto”: a one-page statement of money values + 2–3 guiding principles
Values alone don’t change behavior—systems do. In this final session, we focus on turning intention into structure so money feels less emotionally charged and more predictable for everyone in the family.
You’ll start with a values check-in, clarifying what you want money to feel like in your household, then move into designing 1–2 family money systems that reflect those values. Whether it’s allowances, spending boundaries, saving rituals, or decision rules, you’ll design systems that reduce decision fatigue, lower conflict, and make expectations clearer for kids.
